Five-metre connecting cable with an open control-side end
The Festo KMP3-9P-08-5 is a five-metre connecting cable. The field-device side has an angled nine-pin Sub-D socket; the control side is an open cable end. The manufacturer lists ten cores with nine used.
This is a defined connecting-cable reference. A nine-pin connector alone does not establish compatibility with a particular PLC or network protocol. Match the device connection and conductor assignment to the installation.

Cable routing and installation limits
The grey PVC cable uses a 10 × 0.34 mm² conductor arrangement. Its listed current capacity is 3 A at 40 °C, with a nominal 24 V DC application and a 0–30 V DC range.
The minimum bend radius is 30 mm for fixed installation and 75 mm for moving installation. Ambient limits also differ: −25 to +70 °C fixed and −5 to +70 °C moving. IP65 applies when mounted; it should not be transferred to an unmated connector.
