Accuenergy AcuRev 1310 DIN Rail Power and Energy Meter

Description

AcuRev 1310 is a compact Accuenergy DIN rail meter for kWh metering and sub-billing. It meets IEC 62053-22 class 0.5s and ANSI C12.20 class 0.5, accepts 10 to 690 Vac directly, and offers a built-in RS-485 port with Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP. The family covers the 1312, 1313 and 1314 variants described in one datasheet.

Revenue-grade sub-metering on a 35 mm DIN rail

The meter is packaged for distribution boards: the housing has an integrated TS35 rail channel and a front LCD that gives quick access to metered data. Voltage inputs accept 400 Vac line-to-neutral or 690 Vac line-to-line, so one model covers single-phase, three-phase three-wire and three-phase four-wire services without a potential transformer.

The 1314 variant adds a fourth current input channel to capture neutral current, and an Auto Phase-Check function helps verify installation integrity. The datasheet lists applications such as energy management systems, multi-tenant commercial buildings, hotels, schools, industrial plants and smart distribution cabinets.

Features stated in the datasheet

  • Utility revenue-grade accuracy: IEC 62053-22 class 0.5s and ANSI C12.20 class 0.5.
  • Current input options: 5 A or 1 A, mA, Rogowski coil (RCT) or 333 mV.
  • Standard SunSpec registers in the Modbus list for solar PV and storage integration.
  • BTL Listed for Smart Sensor (B-SS); the 1312 variant is Measurement Canada approved.

Choosing the model and reading the order code

The order code is Meter Model – Current Input – I/O. The ordering models are 1313 and 1314 (the 1314 adds a fourth current channel for neutral measurement); current input codes are 5A for 5 A / 1 A, 333 for 333 mV, RCT for AcuCT Flex Rogowski coil and mA for 80/100/200 mA; I/O codes are X0 (no relay) and X1 (one relay output). Examples printed in the datasheet are AcuRev 1313-RCT-X0 and AcuRev 1314-333-X1.

The datasheet notes that the 1314 does not support a Rogowski coil for neutral current. Measurement Canada and California CTEP versions carry extra codes (MC, C200, C400) and are only listed for the 1312. Confirm the full code before ordering.

Wiring and installation notes

Typical wiring diagrams in the datasheet show 3LN with three CTs, 2LL with two CTs with or without PT, 1LL and 1LN connections, each protected by a 1 A fuse on the voltage inputs. A neutral CT is optional. The auxiliary supply and relay and pulse terminals are separate from the measuring terminals.

The optional USB-RS485 converter connects a PC at distances up to 1200 metres, and the AcuRev 1310-ENC is a NEMA 4X wall-mount enclosure with DIN hardware for tamper protection or outdoor locations.

Where it fits in Gulf installations

General engineering note: a DIN rail meter with direct 690 Vac measurement suits tenant sub-metering in commercial towers, labour camps, hotels and hospitals, and feeder monitoring in industrial distribution boards. Because the housing is rated for 70 C operation, it can sit in warm electrical rooms common in the region, provided the enclosure itself is ventilated.

Commissioning and enquiry notes

Before commissioning, set the wiring mode, CT ratio and communication address, and confirm that the building management or energy system reads the right registers. Oman’s networks run at 50 Hz. In hot plant rooms, check the panel’s internal temperature against the meter’s rating, and confirm with the local authority which approvals apply where readings are used for billing.

Frequently asked questions

What accuracy class does AcuRev 1310 meet?

The datasheet states IEC 62053-22 class 0.5s and ANSI C12.20 class 0.5 for active energy, and IEC 62053-23 class 2 for reactive energy.

Can it connect directly to 690 V systems?

Yes. The voltage inputs are rated 400 Vac line-to-neutral and 690 Vac line-to-line, so no potential transformer is needed for those services.

Which communication protocols are available?

The built-in RS-485 port supports Modbus RTU and BACnet MS/TP at 1200 to 34800 bps. SunSpec registers are included in the Modbus list.

What is the difference between 1313 and 1314?

The 1314 provides four current channels so neutral current can be measured; the 1313 does not list that fourth channel in the datasheet.
