Blue-White C-600P CHEM-FEED Mechanical Diaphragm Pump

C-600P is a simple, fixed-speed mechanical diaphragm metering pump from the Blue-White CHEM-FEED range, delivering 1 to 21.5 gallons per hour (4 to 81.4 litres per hour) at up to 125 psi (8.6 bar). A shaded-pole AC motor, a cam stroke adjustment from 4 to 100 percent and double-ball ceramic check valves make it a rugged pump for basic chemical injection.

A fixed-speed mechanical dosing pump with stroke adjustment

Unlike the electronic C2 and C3, the C-600P has no speed control: output is set by the motor speed you order (14, 30, 45, 60, 125 or 250 strokes per minute) and by a side-mounted mechanical cam adjusted over 27 settings from 4 to 100 percent stroke. The sheet gives a turndown of 27:1 and notes that small stroke settings allow accurate small injections at a high rate per minute.

Because speed and pressure are linked, the performance table trades flow for pressure: the 14 rpm model holds 125 psi at 1.0 GPH (AC), while the 250 rpm model reaches 16.2 GPH (AC) or 21.5 GPH (DC) but only up to 10 psi. For best diaphragm life the sheet advises specifying the lowest practical rpm and pressure.

Selection and ordering guide

The model code is C-6 [rpm] P – [voltage], for example C-614P-115VAC. The rpm figure is 14, 30, 45, 60, 125 or 250 (45 and 250 not offered in 12 VDC), and the voltage options are 115VAC, 220VAC, 230VAC, 240VAC, 24VAC, 12VDC or 24VDC. The sheet notes that 220 V50 Hz units give 20 percent less output.

All models come with a junction box for field wiring except 220 V models, which include a power cord and plug only. Pick the lowest motor speed that meets your flow at the working pressure, then fine tune with the stroke cam.

Installation and operation notes

The manual asks for a rigid wall or stud mount, not drywall with anchors, close to the injection point with short discharge tubing; do not mount the pump over the chemical container because fumes can damage it. Install the supplied spring-loaded injection check valve and the foot valve with strainer, and keep the footvalve off the tank floor to avoid loss of prime.

To prime, the manual describes removing the discharge tubing from the top valve fitting, running the pump until liquid appears and refitting the tubing. The stroke cam is adjusted from the side of the pump over 27 settings.
