Uvex pheos faceguard 9790211 Polycarbonate Face Shield

The Uvex pheos faceguard 9790211 is a fully pre-assembled face protection system with a clear polycarbonate visor, a width- and height-adjustable headmount for head sizes 52 to 64 cm, and a flip-up visor with variable locking positions. The visor is coated with uvex supravision excellence, anti-fog inside and scratch- and chemical-resistant outside. At 391 g with a central resting position above the head, it avoids pulling on the neck when the visor is parked.

The marking W 166 39 B includes fields of use 3 (drops and splashes of liquids) and 9 (molten metal and hot solids), with mechanical strength B for 120 m/s impact. Those uses make it suitable for grinding, sampling, hot work and chemical splash tasks where the face, not only the eyes, needs a shield.

Applications in GCC industry

Face shields are used for grinding and cutting, chemical sampling, cleaning with high-pressure sprays, pouring hot materials and battery handling. Care and use

Rinse the visor with water and a soft cloth, avoid abrasive cleaners, and replace a scratched or crazed visor. Replaceable interior fittings and sweatbands support hygiene on shared equipment.

To plan stock, remember that the faceguard is packed individually in a carton and the wearing parts are separate articles: replacement lens 9906013, interior 9760107 and sweatband 9760108. Keeping a few of those spares per batch avoids replacing a whole 391 g faceguard when only the visor is scratched.

A face shield protects the face against drops, splashes and some impacts, but it does not replace safety glasses where the standard requires both.
