Safety Jogger Desert S1P is a mid-cut safety boot with a cotton canvas upper and a cotton lining. S1P in practice
Safety Jogger explains S1P as the category for dry environments with no risk of water or liquid sprays, where you need toe protection, protection against perforation and good breathability. This is the key limit of the Desert: the canvas upper is not water resistant, so use it dry and plan another boot for wet washdown areas.
The measured heel energy absorption is 34 J against the minimum of 20 J, a comfortable margin for workers who walk long distances on hard ground. Outsole abrasion is 88 mm3 against a limit of 150. Choose sizes EU 36 to 47 and mention the colour.
Wearing and cleaning canvas boots
The sheet describes the steel midsole as made from stainless or coated steel to stop sharp objects penetrating the outsole, and the footbed as a removable antistatic SJ foam layer that gives fit, guidance and shock absorption in the heel and forefoot. Canvas takes dust and stains, so brush it clean and use a damp cloth with mild soap when needed; use a protective spray recommended for textiles. Never dry the boots near a heater, as the sheet warns.
The footbed is removable. Keep the lacing even so the 3-Fit width setting works as intended. Replace the boots when the toecap is damaged or the canvas has worn through at the flex point.
Dry, dusty working conditions
A lightweight boot with a breathable upper helps in hot dry weather, and the PU sole is made for hard, uneven ground. The sheet lists automotive, construction, logistics and general industry.
