Speakman GravityFlo SE-8000 528-Gallon Emergency Tank Shower
Description
The Speakman GravityFlo SE-8000 is an emergency tank shower with an integrated eyewash, built for worksites that have no potable water supply or no reliable one. A 528 US gallon (about 2000 L) insulated polyethylene tank sits on top of a hot-dip galvanized carbon steel frame and feeds the shower and eyewash by gravity, so there is no pump or compressed air. Speakman states that the capacity lets the unit run beyond the 15 continuous minutes required by ANSI/ISEA Z358.1.
The shower and eyewash are independent: a yellow steel push bar (or optional foot treadle) opens a 1-1/2 in NPT stainless steel ball valve to the stainless steel shower head, while a stainless push handle operates the yellow plastic eyewash bowl with two spray outlets and flip-top dust caps. The unit is not portable, being about 6000 lb filled, but it is shipped fully assembled and lifted into place by crane or fork truck.

Selection and ordering guide
The sheet shows the standard SE-8000 with a list of factory options, each with its own order code: TS-TREADLE (treadle plate activator), TS-SSEYEWASH (stainless eyewash bowl), TS-ALARM (visual and audio alarm), TS-BUND (water collection bund), TS-SCREENS (three privacy screens), TS-SSSUPPORT (stainless support frame) and TS-GAUGE (digital water level and temperature gauge). Because the page asks you to call for a quote and the electrics are specified at 240 V single-phase, confirm the local supply and all options before ordering. For smaller, portable needs, the GravityFlo SE-4000 (21 gallons) and the SE-590 are the alternatives on this site.
Installation notes
Determine the final position according to OSHA and ANSI/ISEA Z358.1 requirements, in a well-lit area with drainage so no standing water remains after activation, and consider the effect of water or diluted chemicals on nearby electrical equipment. The unit arrives crated and fully assembled, apart from two side modesty panels if supplied: remove the crate panels and temporary shipping brackets, install the collection bund on a suitable concrete foundation if supplied, and lift the unit upright by crane using the rigging mounts at the top near the tank lid, or by fork truck using the lifting braces. Bolt it down through all four mounting tabs, connect the 1 in fill, the overflow, the drain and the 240 V power.
Applications in GCC industry
Tank showers are used on remote well pads, pipeline construction spreads, tank-cleaning and shutdown work fronts, and chemical or acid handling points without mains water. The standard unit includes a 3 kW immersion heater with high-temperature cutoff and heat tracing that the sheet describes as protection of the internal piping from freezing; in a hot climate confirm which electrical features your order needs. Keep the stored water fresh, check it regularly and record weekly activations.
Installation and selection notes
The tank shower is heavy when full, so the base must be level and capable of carrying the load. Arrange the water fill, the drain of the area and regular checks of the water quality, and keep the unit protected from frost or from extreme heat as the data sheet states. Test the shower and eyewash on the schedule in the maintenance instructions.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the site conditions and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, flows, dimensions and certifications are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
Frequently asked questions
How much water does the SE-8000 hold?
528 US gallons, which the manufacturer says exceeds the 15 continuous minutes required by ANSI/ISEA Z358.1.
Does it need a water supply?
It is gravity-fed from the tank, with a 1 in fill inlet and float valve to refill it, so it works where no plumbed pressure supply exists.
What electrical supply does it need?
240 V single phase, 50/60 Hz, 13.88 A for the 3 kW heater, heat tracing and lighting.
How heavy is it?
1598 lb empty and 6004 lb filled, so the foundation must carry at least 6000 lb.
What should I confirm before ordering?
Confirm the electrical supply, options such as treadle, alarm and bund, and the site lifting arrangements, then request a quotation with the part number SE-8000.
