Streamlight Survivor X ATEX Zone 0 Right-Angle Flashlight

Description

A brighter right-angle flashlight rated IIC for Zone 0 and dust

The Streamlight Survivor X ATEX takes the right-angle body of the Survivor and raises the output to 250 lumens, 50,000 candela and a 447 m beam on high. The low mode gives 60 lumens and 237 m. The marking covers gas and dust: II 1G Ex ia IIC T3/T4 Ga and II 1D Ex ia IIIC T200 131 C Da, so it is usable in IIC gas Zone 0 and in Zone 20 dust areas as printed in the certificate data.

A large translucent button carries an integrated battery status indicator and gives access to the high, low and flash modes in gloved use. The low-profile bezel reduces snagging, the housing is a super-tough nylon, and a spring-loaded clip with a D-ring holds the light on a belt or harness.

Batteries, T-class and a warning to note

T4 applies with Streamlight pack 90347, Duracell MN1500, Panasonic LR6XJ, Varta 4006 and Energizer EN91; T3 applies with Streamlight pack 90340, Energizer E91 and Rayovac No. 815. Using a cell outside the list invalidates the temperature class, so stock the exact packs named on the certificate.

Streamlight prints a warning on the fact sheet: do not use SL-B9 or SL-B34 batteries in firefighting apparatus or fire situations, and do not expose them to temperatures above 60 C (140 F). The status indicator on the switch boot tells the user how much battery life remains before the light is switched on in the field.

Where it sits in the Survivor family

The Survivor X is the straightforward upgrade when 175 lumens is not enough, or when a IIC Zone 0 and dust rating is needed. It lacks the second flood beam of the Survivor Pivot, but it is lighter than the Pivot and has the same clip design.

Optional black or amber Smoke Cutter plugs reshape the beam for smoky environments. Streamlight also lists 5-unit bank chargers for 120, 230, 240 and 12 V DC (items 90910, 90911, 90913 and 90912) and a charger holder 90345.

About brand

Streamlight is a manufacturer of professional flashlights, headlamps, lanterns and scene lights based in Eagleville, Pennsylvania, USA. The company traces its current form to 1973 and has more than 50 years of experience in lighting for firefighting, industrial, law enforcement and military users.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Streamlight hazardous-area and industrial lights for oil and gas, petrochemical and plant maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC.

Streamlight product series

ATEX and IECEx rated flashlights include the 2AA and 2AAA ProPolymer HAZ-LO for zone 0, the Dualie 3AA family with dual beam, laser and Color-Rite versions and the rechargeable Dualie, the Survivor, Survivor X and Survivor Pivot right-angle lights, and the Stylus and Stylus Reach penlights for zone 1. Headlamps include the 3AA HAZ-LO and Enduro Pro HAZ-LO.

Lanterns and area lights include the Vulcan 180 HAZ-LO rechargeable lantern for zone 0, the Vulcan LED for zone 2, the E-Flood LiteBox, the Super Siege lantern and the Syclone magnetic work light for unclassified areas.

Where Streamlight lights are used

Inspection and maintenance in refineries, gas plants, tank farms and offshore facilities, confined space entry, emergency response and general plant work. Marking, zone, gas group and temperature class differ by model and by the battery fitted, so the certificate and product label must match the area classification.

Ordering Streamlight lights: what we need

Send the five-digit item number with the charger voltage or plug type, colour and quantity. For hazardous-area lights state the zone, gas group and temperature class required, because item numbers vary by certification, voltage and package.
