Streamlight Enduro Pro HAZ-LO ATEX Zone 0 Headlamp
Description
A light three-AAA headlamp with spot, flood and combination modes
The Streamlight Enduro Pro HAZ-LO ATEX is a low-profile Zone 0 headlamp that weighs 99 g with its three AAA alkaline cells. It has two LEDs and three modes: spot, flood and spot/flood combination, stepped through with a single push button that cycles to off after the combination mode.
Spot and flood each produce 160 lumens, 235 lumens when combined. The flood LED sits high on the lamp so that it throws less shadow when the unit is clipped to a hard hat, and the head tilts through 45 degrees. The headband is designed to come off easily for cleaning, and the package adds elastic and rubber hard-hat straps and a 3M Dual Lock fastener.

Mounting and certificate points
The ATEX item carries a Zone 0 marking at T4 and is approved for use with named AAA alkaline cells; on the North American approval the fact sheet names the Energizer E92, Duracell MN2400, Rayovac NO.824 and Panasonic LR03PA. Check the product label for the cells allowed under the ATEX certificate before standardising on a brand.
The mechanical polarity protection prevents a reversed cell from being used. The tough thermoplastic case has an elastomer over-mould and the lenses are recessed to resist scratching, as stated on the information sheet. Streamlight lists a rubber head strap as an optional accessory.
Enduro Pro against the 3AA headlamp
The Enduro Pro is lighter and has two beam types, which suits work at arm’s length in confined spaces such as vessel internals and cable trenches. The 3AA ATEX headlamp has a stronger single beam (270 lumens, 150 m) and longer 8-hour run time.
Choose the Enduro Pro where the lamp rides on a helmet all shift and weight and shadow-free flood lighting matter.
The ATEX package includes both an elastic and a rubber hard-hat strap plus one 3M Dual Lock fastener, so the lamp can be fixed to a helmet shell as well as worn on the head. The headband is shaped for easy removal for cleaning, which helps where lamps are shared between shifts. Streamlight lists industrial, occupational safety, fire and rescue and automotive among the target markets for the family.
Selecting the Enduro Pro HAZ-LO for a hazardous-area task
Start with the area classification of the work location. The ATEX item is marked for Zone 0 at temperature class T4, so check that the gas group and temperature class on the site classification drawing are covered by the marking printed on the lamp before it is issued. Then decide whether the job needs a long, narrow throw or wide close-range light: the spot mode suits inspection across a pipe rack or tank roof, while the flood mode is easier on the eyes when reading gauges, wiring terminals or working on a flange directly in front of the face. The combined mode is useful when a crew needs both at once, at the cost of a slightly shorter run time.
Consider how the lamp will be worn. Teams that keep the lamp on a hard hat for a full shift usually value the low weight and the high-mounted flood LED, while staff who move between helmets may prefer the elastic strap. Matching the strap to the helmet model in use avoids improvised fixing on site.
Issuing and checking lamps before a shift
- Inspect the case, lenses and straps for cracks, deep scratches or contamination before taking the lamp into a classified area.
- Load only the AAA alkaline cells permitted on the product label for the certificate in use, and do not mix brands or old and new cells in one lamp.
- Cycle through spot, flood, combined and off with the push button to confirm each mode works.
- Set the head tilt before entering the work area so the beam falls where the hands will be.
- Record lamp issue and return where a permit-to-work system requires a register of portable equipment.
Use in GCC heat, dust and humidity
Plants in Oman and the wider Gulf see high ambient temperatures, airborne sand and coastal humidity. The IP67 rating and impact testing give the lamp a solid basis for this environment, but good habits still matter. Do not leave lamps on vehicle dashboards or in direct sun between jobs, wipe dust and salt residue from the lens with a clean damp cloth, and remove the headband for cleaning as the design allows, especially where lamps are shared between shifts. Store lamps in a cool, dry place and remove cells from lamps that will be stored for a long period, following the operating instructions.
Information to include in your RFQ
To make the quotation accurate, state whether you need the ATEX item 61428 or the InMetro item 61423, the quantity, the hard-hat or helmet model, and the classified zone where the lamps will be used. If your site standard specifies a particular AAA alkaline cell brand, mention it so that it can be checked against the label. If you are comparing the Enduro Pro with the 3AA ATEX headlamp, say which matters more to your crews: weight and flood lighting, or beam distance and run time.
Documents and quotation
The downloadable files are the Streamlight fact sheet and the information sheet with item numbers, and the operating instructions. Confirm the item number for the ATEX or InMetro marking, and the permitted AAA cell brand, before ordering. Share the item number, quantity and the helmet or hard-hat model the strap must fit. Marking, zone, gas group and temperature class differ by model and by the battery fitted, so the certificate and product label must match the area classification.
Ordering Streamlight lights: what we need
Send the five-digit item number with the charger voltage or plug type, colour and quantity. For hazardous-area lights state the zone, gas group and temperature class required, because item numbers vary by certification, voltage and package.
