Brand: Rotork
Rotork Fairchild HPD / DHP / HPP High Pressure Regulators
Description
The Rotork Fairchild HPD, DHP and HPP regulators are a family of stainless steel high pressure regulators for gas or liquid service with supply pressures up to 6,000 psi. Rotork describes them as eliminating the leakage and short life of conventional high pressure regulators, using 316 stainless steel bodies, Inconel diaphragms or stainless pistons, and an improved valve seat seal. They regulate down to 0-25 psi output (HPD, DHP) or up to 0-3,000 psi (HPP).
Three regulator styles
Each style fits a different job:
- HPD: diaphragm operated, with a 316 stainless body and Inconel diaphragm. Five output ranges run from 0-25 psi up to 5-500 psi (35 bar), and it is offered with a standard knob, a tamper proof actuator or a panel mount configuration.
- DHP: a dome loaded, diaphragm operated version of the HPD, with the same body, diaphragm, supply rating and ranges, for systems where a pilot or dome pressure sets the output.
- HPP: piston operated, all 316 stainless steel, for much higher output pressures with three ranges up to 3,000 psi (200 bar). The datasheet notes the supply pressure must always be higher than the required output.
Technical specifications
| Parameter | Specification |

| Supply pressure effect | 0.6 psig per 100 psig change (HPD); under 2 psig per 100 psig change (HPP) |
| Ambient temperature | -40 to +500 degF (-40 to +260 degC), depending on seat material |
| Ports | 1/4 inch; NPTF, BSPT or SAE AS5202-4; two port or four port |
| Body and valve | 316L stainless steel |
| Diaphragm and seal | Alloy X-750 Inconel diaphragm (HPD); Viton A seal (HPP) |
| Shutoff | Bubble tight in most conditions with the non-relieving option |
Seat material limits
Seat choice controls the pressure and temperature envelope, so read the seat chart on the datasheet before ordering. CTFE seats are limited to 3,500 psig and 175 degF (80 degC). PEEK and Vespel seats reach 500 degF (260 degC) at up to 3,500 psig, or 175 degF at up to 6,000 psig. The datasheet also states that temperatures above 175 degF require the tamper proof option.
Ordering options
Catalog numbers start with the model letters, then flow capacity (1 for Cv 0.06, 3 for Cv 0.25), a range code, port size and thread (N, U or S), port configuration (A for 2 port, B for 4 port), body material S for 316 stainless steel, seat material (P PEEK, T CTFE, V Vespel), actuator (K knob or T tamper proof), relief (R relieving or N non-relieving) and mounting (N none or P panel).
What to confirm
State whether the medium is gas or liquid, the supply pressure range, the required outlet pressure and flow, and the operating temperature, so the right style and seat can be matched. Where a safety relief device is needed downstream, specify it separately. The Rotork datasheet is attached; send Seven Star LLC the catalog number or the duty and we will prepare a quotation from our regulators range.

About brand
Rotork is a British flow control company best known for electric valve actuators. Jeremy Fry founded Rotork Engineering Company in Bath in 1957, the year its first actuator, the 100A, went on sale, and the group is still headquartered in Bath and listed on the London Stock Exchange. Today Rotork makes electric, pneumatic, hydraulic and electro-hydraulic actuators, gearboxes, precision regulators and valve positioners.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier listing Rotork actuators, Rotork Fairchild regulators, YTC positioners and spare parts for buyers in Oman and the GCC. Replacement units are matched from the actuator nameplate and wiring diagram number.

Where Rotork equipment is used
Rotork actuators are common on oil and gas pipelines and terminals, refineries and gas plants, water and wastewater networks, desalination plants and power stations. Electric IQ actuators handle isolation valves on long pipelines and water mains, often networked over Rotork Pakscan, Modbus or another fieldbus. Skilmatic and scotch yoke actuators cover emergency shutdown valves, and Fairchild regulators and YTC positioners sit on pneumatic control valves throughout process plants.
Ordering Rotork actuators and spare parts: what we need
Send photos of the actuator nameplate with the model, serial number and wiring diagram number; the wiring diagram is usually inside the terminal cover. Rotork can identify the original build, including options and control interface, from the serial number. For a new application add the valve type and size, required torque or thrust, operating time, mounting flange (ISO 5210 or ISO 5211), power supply, control signal or network protocol, fail-safe requirement and hazardous-area marking. For regulators and positioners send the full model code and the pressure or signal ranges.
