HIWIN CRBE 05515 Crossed Roller Bearing with Mounting Holes
Description
The HIWIN CRBE 05515 is a high rigidity crossed roller bearing with mounting holes: a 55 mm bore, 120 mm outside diameter and 15 mm width, with an inner ring and a solid outer ring that both have holes for direct fixing. Both rings can rotate, and the mounting holes remove the need for separate clamping discs, which keeps the assembly compact.
A bearing that is bolted on directly
In the CRBE the inner and outer rings are both solid, so the bearing can rotate either ring, and each ring carries mounting holes. The A type has threaded holes in the inner ring and sink holes in the outer ring; the B type has sink holes in both rings in the same direction, and the C type has sink holes in the reverse direction. The rollers cross at 90 degrees and are separated by spacers, giving high rigidity and smooth rotation under combined radial, axial and moment loads.

CRBE size range

Designation, accuracy and installation
The catalog example CRBD 080 22 A WW C8 P5 shows the code: type, bore, width, hole code (A, B, C), seal, clearance and accuracy. For CRBE 05515 the sealed A type with C8 clearance and P4 accuracy would be CRBE 05515 A WW C8 P4, which is the label on the product photo. The inner ring runout limit for CRBE 05515 is 4 micrometres at P4 and 3 at P2; the outer ring limit is 6 and 5 micrometres.
The bearing needs a rigid housing and shaft, because the thin rings follow the shape of the mating parts.
