HIWIN CRBA 14025 Crossed Roller Bearing, Split Outer Ring

The HIWIN CRBA 14025 is a crossed roller bearing of the split outer ring type, with a 140 mm bore, 200 mm outside diameter and 25 mm width. The rollers cross at 90 degrees between the rings, so one thin bearing carries radial, axial and moment loads at the same time with high rigidity and rotational accuracy. CRBA bearings are made for rotating the inner ring while the outer ring is fixed.

A thin crossed roller bearing for combined loads

HIWIN CRB bearings consist of an outer ring, an inner ring, rollers and spacers. The spacers keep the rollers apart, which lowers rotational torque, and each roller is crossed at 90 degrees to the next, so the bearing accepts loads from several directions at once. The catalog names the split outer ring CRBA for inner ring rotation, the split inner ring CRBB for outer ring rotation and the CRBC high rigidity type for either ring, with CRBD, CRBE and CRBX variants.

For CRBA 14025 the bore is 140 mm and the width 25 mm. Radial runout of the inner ring for bores of 120 to 150 mm is limited to 8, 6 and 3 micrometres for P5, P4 and P2.

With C8 clearance and an inner ring that rotates, the catalog suggests an h5 shaft and an H6 housing, and it warns that the thin ring needs a rigid bracket and mounting disc, otherwise the split bearing deforms. Do not remove the bolts of the split ring. Before ordering, confirm the clearance class, seal type, accuracy grade, speed (DN 60000 mm x rpm) and the stiffness of the mating parts.
