OBO 2022128 V-TEC VM25 2×8 Multi-Way Cable Gland M25
Description
2022128 is the OBO Bettermann V-TEC VM25 2×8 cable gland: polyamide, light grey, metric thread M25 x 1.5, with a multi-way seal insert that has two 8 mm holes, so two thin cables can pass through a single entry. It is rated IP68 and supplied in packs of 25.
One M25 entry for two cables
Thin sensor, signal or small power cables are often grouped at a panel entry. A multi-way seal insert holds each cable in its own hole, so a single M25 hole can take two cables up to 8 mm each (dimension D 8 mm, 2 holes in the datasheet) without a separate gland per cable.
OBO describes the V-TEC range as cap-nut glands with metric thread for junction boxes, housings and cabinets in private and industrial areas, with strain relief and integrated sealing lip, tested to DIN EN 62444, IP68, -20 to +65 C. This version is halogen-free and flame resistant to VDE 0471 / DIN 695 Part 2-1 at 650 C but has no Ex-zone approval.

Selection and ordering guide
Choose this item when a panel needs two thin cables through one M25 entry. For a single cable of 6 – 13 mm use an M20 gland such as 2022902 on this site; the multi-way insert only fits cables up to the 8 mm hole size.
Both hole positions must be used or fitted with a blanking plug to hold the IP68 rating; ask us if you need replacement inserts or blanking parts.
Installation and operation notes
Drill a 25 mm entry, screw the gland in, push each cable through its own seal hole and tighten the cap nut. The datasheet lists 5 Nm unstable torque for the thread connection.
Cable diameters must match the hole; cable thicker than the 8 mm hole will not seal.
Derived figure: one gland weighs about 13.6 g (1.36 kg per 100 pieces), so a pack of 25 weighs about 340 g. Each of the two holes is 8 mm, so thin signal and instrumentation cables fit, while a cable with an outer diameter above 8 mm does not; measure the cables before ordering and use the single-hole M25 versions of the V-TEC range for thicker cables.
Applications in Oman and the GCC
Instrumentation junction boxes, small control panels, sensor boxes, motor terminal boxes and HVAC controls where two small cables reach the same enclosure.
Polyamide glands in light grey are standard on indoor and sheltered outdoor enclosures; for fully sun-exposed use consider the UV-resistant version of the same family (see 2022902 for M20) and confirm the UV rating of this M25 version with OBO.
Ordering tip: the smallest sales unit is 25 pieces and the datasheet states a CO2 footprint of 0.0693 kg CO2e per piece. Lock nuts are not included, so add them to the order if the enclosure wall has plain holes, and keep a few spare multi-way seal inserts in stock for maintenance where cables are changed often.
Installation and selection notes
The multi-way seal insert carries two cables of up to 8 mm each, so measure the actual cable diameters before ordering and do not force a thicker cable into an 8 mm hole. Fit the M25 x 1.5 gland to the enclosure, thread the cables through the insert, and tighten the cap nut. Unused holes must be filled with a blanking plug to keep the IP68 rating. The pack of 25 suits control panel and junction box work.
