Viking Johnson EasiClamp 4-Bolt Pipe Repair Clamp DN50-DN300
Description
A four-bolt repair clamp for cracked or leaking pipe
The Viking Johnson EasiClamp four-bolt clamp seals leaks on a pipe without cutting it out. Two ductile iron housings with a rubber gasket wrap the pipe and are drawn together by four bolts; a stainless steel bridging plate spans the gap. The same datasheet covers the EasiTap, which is the clamp supplied with a tapped boss for a branch outlet, for 2 to 12 inch (DN50 to DN300) pipe.
Each size has a narrow OD range, for example 115.0 to 125.6 mm on the 4 inch DN100 clamp, so measure the pipe before ordering. The clamp is for repair, not for jointing two pipes, and the datasheet says it does not resist end load, so unsupported pipe sections need restraint.

What the size table tells you
There are two DN200 (8 inch) entries because pipe outside diameters differ: 216.5-226.0 mm and 230.2-243.5 mm. Measure and match. The DN50 and DN65 clamps use M12 x 65 mm bolts, DN80 to DN200 use M16 x 95 mm and DN225 uses M16 x 120 mm, all with four bolts, while the DN250 and DN300 clamps step up to six and eight M16 x 120 mm bolts. Z, the clamp length, is 200 mm on most sizes and 250 to 300 mm on DN250 and DN300. The EasiTap outlet is a BSP thread: 3/4 inch on DN50 to DN80, and up to 1 inch on DN100 to DN300, with 1/2 inch also offered on DN100, DN250 and DN300. Weights run from 4.1 kg on DN50 to 25.2 kg on DN300, a useful figure when the clamp has to be handled in a trench or a confined chamber. Remember that the Y dimension in the table is a maximum, so allow clearance around the pipe for the housings and bolt heads before excavating.
Selection, installation and limits
- Match the pipe OD to the clamp range; a wrong clamp will not seal.
- Choose the plain clamp for repair and the tapped boss version for a branch connection.
- Pressure is limited to 16 bar water; gas is not approved.
- Torque to 55-65 Nm on M12 or 95-110 Nm on M16 bolts and clean the pipe surface of scale first (general good practice).
- The datasheet shows no single order code, so quote the pipe OD, material and any outlet size and ask the manufacturer to confirm the exact configuration.
Applications in Oman and the GCC
A bolted repair clamp restores a leaking main quickly without draining a long section. Typical uses are on cast iron and ductile iron water mains, steel service lines and cooling water headers, within the 16 bar and +40 C limits printed. Because the housings are Nylon 11 coated ductile iron with stainless bridging plates, the clamp can stay in place as a permanent repair, although the maker does not state a service life, so ask before relying on it for critical lines.
Selection and installation notes
Pipe couplings and clamps must be chosen from the actual pipe outside diameter, the pipe material, the working pressure and the joint movement expected, so measure the pipe before ordering and compare the reading with the size range on the data sheet. Clean the pipe surface and remove dirt, scale and sharp edges, mark the insertion depth, centre the coupling over the joint and tighten the bolts evenly in a cross pattern to the torque in the installation instructions. Check the joint again after the line has been pressurised, and do not use a coupling outside its stated pressure rating.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand
Viking Johnson is a UK manufacturer of pipe couplings, flange adaptors and associated fittings for the water and utilities industries. The company was founded in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, in the 1930s and today forms part of Crane Building Services and Utilities, within the Process Flow Technologies group of Crane Co. It also lists a Middle East office in Dubai.
Coupling and adaptor ranges
The datasheets cover the MaxiFit, MaxiStep and UltraGrip couplings, the MaxiDaptor and AquaGrip flange adaptors and couplings, the FlexLock and MegaFit couplings, dismantling joints from 3 to 40 inch, and the EasiClamp and HandiClamp repair clamps. Many are rated for 16 bar water and use EPDM or nitrile gaskets with Rilsan Nylon 11 coated ductile iron bodies. The sheets print potable water listings such as WRAS, DVGW and KIWA where they apply, and state the temperature, vacuum and angularity limits of each product.
Requesting a Viking Johnson quotation
Send the pipe material, both pipe outside diameters, the working pressure and medium, the flange drilling for adaptors and the gasket compound. The datasheet size tables allow the exact configuration to be confirmed before an offer is issued. Tell us the destination site conditions, such as soil, water quality and temperature, so the gasket and coating choice can be checked against the datasheet limits.
