Lumel N32H 130000000M0 Digital DC Circuit Meter
Description
The Lumel N32H 130000000M0 is a 96 x 48 mm panel meter for direct-current circuits. It measures d.c. voltage up to 600 V (indication up to 1200 V), takes the current from an external shunt, and calculates power, energy and accumulated capacity in ampere-hours. This code combines the wide-range supply, four relay outputs, RS-485 and one analog output.
Metering d.c. systems: batteries, inverters and rectifiers
Battery rooms, solar and energy-storage plants, rectifier sets and cathodic protection supplies are all d.c. circuits where a normal a.c. meter does not help. The N32H measures bidirectionally, both voltage and current, so it can follow charge and discharge of a battery bank, and the capacity counter accumulates ampere-hours in either direction. The data sheet shows it between an inverter, an energy storage battery and a SCADA link. A built-in function compensates the voltage drop across the measuring shunt, so voltage, power and energy are reported at the load and not at the shunt.
Key features from the data sheet
- Voltage measurement of plus or minus 600 V and current measurement through a shunt with a signal of up to 1500 mV.
- Two-line high-contrast LCD with backlight; time can be displayed on the second line.
- Four alarm outputs with LED signalling, each in one of seven modes, with value and delay conditions.
- Pulse output for energy, and conversion of any measured value to a 0/4 to 20 mA or 0 to 10 V signal.
- Minimum and maximum memory, a walking-window averaging algorithm, real-time clock and password protection.
- IP65 from the front.

Decoding the N32H order code
The code runs N32H X X XXXXXXX M X. The first digit is the supply (1 for the wide a.c./d.c. range, 2 for the low-voltage range). The second digit gives the extra outputs: 1 is one relay with RS-485, 2 is four relays with RS-485, and 3 is four relays, RS-485 and one analog output. The seven digits 0000000 mark the standard version, M the Polish and English language version and the last digit the acceptance test: 0 plain, 1 inspection certificate, 2 calibration certificate, X by agreement. So N32H 130000000M0 is the wide-range supply, four-relay, analog-output, standard version without extra certificate, as in the data sheet example.
Installation notes from the manual
The panel opening is 92 x 45 mm in material no thicker than 6 mm. Slide the meter in from the front with its seal seated and lock it with the four clamps in the box. Pluggable screw terminals (5.08 mm pitch) accept 2.5 mm2 wire. The shunt sense wires on terminals I and C should go directly to the shunt terminals so lead resistance does not add error, and the shunt rated current and voltage (defaults 100 A and 60 mV) must be set in the menu. The default voltage range is 50 V, so set the range before first use.
Typical GCC uses
In Oman and the Gulf the N32H fits battery banks in substations and telecom shelters, solar charge circuits, rectifier panels and DC distribution boards. The -25 to 55 degrees C rating covers most indoor panels, while panels in direct sun need the actual panel temperature checked.
