Crosby is a pressure relief valve brand with more than 150 years of engineering history, today part of the Emerson Final Control portfolio. The Crosby range includes J-Series JOS-E, JBS-E and JDS-E direct spring valves for refinery, petrochemical and power overpressure protection, bellows and balanced diaphragm designs for variable back pressure, OMNI-TRIM valves for thermal relief and small-orifice duties, and a SIL 3 capable pneumatic actuated JBS-E for on-demand relief. These valves are built to ASME Section VIII and Section XIII with API 526 and 527 and PED/ISO 4126-1 compliance. JOS-E is the conventional spring-loaded design for discharge to atmosphere or a low back pressure system. JBS-E adds a balanced bellows for variable or high built-up back pressure, and JDS-E replaces the bellows with a balanced diaphragm that extends back pressure limits up to 80 percent of set pressure.
