Siglent SSA3032X Plus 3.2 GHz Spectrum Analyzer with TG

Description

SSA3032X Plus is a Siglent spectrum analyzer covering 9 kHz to 3.2 GHz with 1 Hz to 1 MHz resolution bandwidth, a typical displayed average noise level of -161 dBm/Hz, a standard tracking generator and preamplifier, and a 10.1 inch multi-touch display.

A 3.2 GHz analyzer with a tracking generator included

The SSA3032X Plus is the 3.2 GHz member of the SSA3000X Plus family, which also includes 1.5 GHz, 2.1 GHz and 7.5 GHz models. Its 9 kHz to 3.2 GHz range covers broadcast, ISM, cellular and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz work, and the tracking generator (100 kHz to 3.2 GHz) allows swept filter, cable and amplifier gain measurements without a separate source.

Total amplitude accuracy is below 0.7 dB, typical phase noise is below -98 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset (1 GHz carrier) and typical third-order intercept is +10 dBm. A 20 dB nominal preamplifier is standard, and the sweep time runs from 1 ms to 3200 s with 751 display points and four traces.

SSA3032X Plus versus other models and options

The ordering table lists SSA3015X Plus (1.5 GHz), SSA3021X Plus (2.1 GHz), SSA3032X Plus (3.2 GHz) and SSA3075X Plus (7.5 GHz), all with the tracking generator standard. Choose the SSA3032X Plus when you need coverage above 2.1 GHz without paying for the 7.5 GHz range. Options include the advanced measurement kit SSA3000XP-AMK, reflection measurement SSA3000-Refl, EMI measurement mode SSA3000XP-EMI, and digital or analog modulation analysis SSA3000XP-DMA and SSA3000XP-AMA. Standard accessories are a quick start guide, USB cable and power cord.

Setup and measurement practice

Keep input power within the specified limit: 30 dBm average and 33 dBm damage level, with attenuation above 20 dB and the preamp off, and never apply DC beyond plus or minus 50 V. Use enough input attenuation for strong sources and switch the preamp on only for weak signals. Allow the instrument to warm up before accuracy-sensitive work, as the datasheet specifications assume a warmed-up unit stored within its temperature range. For reflection measurements, calibrate with open, short or load standards before connecting the device under test.

Typical bench and field uses

Radio-frequency design benches, EMC pre-compliance with the EMI mode and near-field probes, filter and antenna tuning with the tracking generator, and spurious or harmonic checks on transmitters are typical applications. GCC users also use such analyzers for site interference surveys and telecom maintenance within the 3.2 GHz limit. Check the frequency range of the system you are testing against this model before ordering.
