SKF TLMP 1008 MultiPoint Automatic Lubricator, 8 Outlets
Description
One grease pump feeding up to eight bearings
The SKF TLMP 1008 is a MultiPoint automatic lubricator for reliable relubrication of several lubrication points from a single unit. It is packaged as a complete kit with lubricator, tubing and connectors, and it is easy to install and program through a keypad with an LED display. The TLMP 1008 serves one to eight points; its sibling TLMP 1018 serves one to eighteen.
A reservoir of nearly one litre carries a stirring paddle that prevents grease separation, which makes the unit suitable for more lubricants. The high IP 67 rating, vibration resistance and ability to withstand washdowns suit demanding sites, and SKF names industrial applications as well as agricultural and off-road vehicles. Alarms report an empty reservoir or a blocked outlet, remote notification is possible, and removing power temporarily disables lubrication, which allows machine steering.

Ordering codes
The 8-outlet unit is ordered by supply voltage: TLMP 1008/24DC (24 V DC, -20/+30 %), TLMP 1008/120V (120 V AC, 60 Hz, +/-10 %) and TLMP 1008/230V (230 V AC, 50 Hz, +/-10 %). The TLMP 1018 uses the same voltage suffixes. The kit includes the pump, fitting material for the pump unit, two electrical connectors, 20 m of nylon pipe, 8 straight tube connectors for G 1/8, tube connector plugs, 7 outlet closure plugs and a flexible hose with a filler nipple (LAGF 1-F) that replaces a standard grease nipple for quicker filling.
Planning an installation
Count the points, measure the tube runs (the distance to each point is limited to 5 m), and check that the grease is NLGI 2 or 3. A pump element with a divider block provides the flexibility of using one to eight outlets. For single bearings, SKF offers single point units, such as the SKF TLSD and the SKF TLMR. More lubrication equipment is under Electric Motors. Confirm the supply voltage and connector before ordering.
Set the dispense rate for each outlet from the bearing size and the grease quantity the machine builder prescribes, then verify after a few days that grease is appearing at each point as expected. Use the same grease family in the lubricator as in the bearing to avoid compatibility problems, fill through the filler nipple only with clean grease, and check the alarm indications during routine rounds.
Is a multipoint lubricator the right choice?
A single TLMP 1008 makes sense when several bearings or lubrication points are grouped on one machine or in one area, within the tube distance limit given in the table. Instead of fitting a separate single point lubricator at each bearing, one pump with a divider block serves the group, and the operator only has to check and refill one reservoir. Where the points are spread far apart, or there is only one bearing to serve, the single point units mentioned above are usually simpler. If more than eight points must be served from one unit, the TLMP 1018 is the sibling to consider.
Typical applications
Typical uses include fans and blowers, conveyors, pumps, crushers and screens, mixers and other machinery where several bearings need regular relubrication. SKF also names agricultural and off-road vehicles. Because the unit handles washdowns and vibration, it is also suited to plants where equipment is cleaned regularly or runs in dusty conditions. Automatic relubrication replaces manual greasing rounds on bearings that are hard or unsafe to reach while the machine is running.
Installation and commissioning considerations
Mount the unit vertically within the allowed deviation, in a position that is easy to reach for filling and for reading the display. Plan the tube routes so they are protected from mechanical damage and kept as short and direct as the layout allows. Before connecting tubes to the bearings, fill them with the same grease so the bearings receive lubricant from the first cycle. Unused outlets are closed with the outlet closure plugs included in the kit.
Program the dispense rate per outlet using the keypad, then check the alarm function and confirm grease delivery at each point after the first days of operation. Where remote notification is used, connect the alarm signal to the plant control system so that an empty reservoir or a blocked line is noticed quickly.
Routine checks and good practice
Include the lubricator in regular inspection rounds. Check the grease level in the reservoir, look at the display for alarm messages and inspect the tubes for damage or loose connections. Refill before the reservoir runs empty, using only clean grease of the same type, and keep the filler nipple protected from dirt. When the machine or its operating conditions change, review the dispense rate for each outlet with the maintenance team so the bearings continue to receive the amount of grease they need. Keeping a simple log of refills and alarm events helps show whether the settings suit the machine.
How to specify your request for quotation
Give the full ordering code with the voltage suffix, the quantity and the number of lubrication points to be served. Mention the grease you plan to use and its NLGI grade, so the request can be checked against the suitable consistency range of the lubricator.
Documents and quotation
The SKF leaflet is attached. Send the full code with voltage, such as TLMP 1008/230V, the quantity and the delivery point for a quotation.

About brand
SKF is the Swedish bearing manufacturer founded in Gothenburg in 1907. The company was built on the self-aligning ball bearing developed by engineer Sven Wingquist, who became its first managing director. Today SKF also makes seals, lubrication systems, condition monitoring equipment and maintenance tools.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list SKF bearings, greases, automatic lubricators, condition monitoring sensors and maintenance tools, and supply them to maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC by designation.

An SKF designation describes the bearing exactly. In 6205-2RSH/C3, "62" is a light-series deep groove ball bearing, "05" means a 25 mm bore (05 × 5), "2RSH" means rubber seals on both sides, and "C3" means internal clearance larger than normal, which motors often need because the inner ring runs warmer than the outer. Choosing the right grease matters just as much: a general grease such as LGMT 2 suits most motors, while heavy loads, high temperatures or slow speeds need an EP, high-temperature or high-viscosity grade.
Where SKF products are used
In Oman and the GCC, SKF bearings, lubricants and tools are used by maintenance teams in oil and gas, power and desalination, cement, mining, steel, water and food plants, and by motor and pump repair workshops.
