XOMOX product series
The Type 800 is a high-performance butterfly valve.
High-performance butterfly valves use an offset disc that lifts off the seat as it opens, which reduces seat wear and allows higher pressures and temperatures than resilient seated valves. Seat material, such as PTFE or fire-safe metal-backed designs, is selected for the service, and the valve can be fitted with a gear operator or actuator for on-off or control duty.

01What do I need from the nameplate of a XOMOX butterfly valve?
Note the type designation, the size, the pressure rating, the material codes for body, disc and seat, and the serial or order number. With the serial number the original configuration can be traced, which matters because the seat material and any special service preparation are not visible from outside the valve.
02What is the difference between XOMOX Type 800 and 800ISO?
Both are double-offset high-performance butterfly valves of the same family. The 800ISO designation identifies the current generation, which has a mounting flange to ISO 5211 so that levers, gear operators and actuators can be fitted on a standard interface. When replacing an older valve, send the old tag data so the top works can be matched.
03Which seat should be chosen for a XOMOX Type 800?
The manufacturer rates the PTFE seat from -70 to +204 C and the reinforced PTFE seat up to +232 C. Fire-safe versions and versions prepared for oxygen or chlorine service are separate options. The choice depends on medium, temperature and pressure, so state all three in the inquiry.
