Velan uses trade names for several lines. Memoryseal covers its resilient-seated ball valves, Securaseal its metal-seated ball valves, and Torqseal its triple offset valves. The nameplate shows the Velan figure number, size, pressure class, body and trim materials and a serial number. The figure number is the key, since it encodes the valve type, end connection and material. Send a photo of the plate. If it is missing, give the valve type, size, class, ends and service, and the face-to-face dimension if you can measure it.
02What is a Velan Memoryseal ball valve?
Memoryseal is the Velan trade name for its resilient-seated ball valves. The manufacturer lists the line alongside its Securaseal metal-seated ball valves. The version on our site is a top-entry cryogenic valve, a design in which the ball and seats are accessed through the bonnet opening while the body remains in the pipeline.
03What is a Velan Memoryseal valve?
