Baumer photoelectric sensors and the O200 series
Baumer groups its optical sensors by housing size, with the O200 as the miniature family and the O300 and O500 as larger ones. The listed sensor is a diffuse type with background suppression. Within a family the characters after the dot identify the exact version. Two sensors that look identical can therefore behave differently, which is why the full string is needed and not only “O200”.

Treat the whole string as the model. The part before the dot names the series, and the groups after it define the version. A suffix such as /E022 belongs to the code too. Copy it exactly as printed, including dots, dashes and the suffix, and add the article number from the label.
02Can a Baumer O200 sensor be replaced with a sensor from another Baumer series?
Sometimes, but it has to be checked. Series differ in housing size, mounting hole pattern, sensing range and connection. If the exact code is no longer produced, we look up the successor that the manufacturer names in its documentation and compare output type, connection and range with your original before proposing it.
