Accuenergy AcuRev 4100 Multi-Channel Branch Circuit Submeter

Description

AcuRev 4100 is the Accuenergy multi-channel branch circuit submeter for high-density tenant billing. It has up to 24 current inputs configurable as 24 single-phase, 12 two-phase or 8 three-phase circuits, with ANSI C12.20 class 0.2 and IEC 62053-22 class 0.2S active energy accuracy. The ordering model is AcuRev 4110.

Twenty-four current channels with software mapping

Current transformer inputs are assigned to logical channels in software, so a wrongly connected CT can be corrected by remapping or reversing direction instead of rewiring. Each current input can be paired with any voltage input (Va, Vb, Vc, Vab, Vbc or Vca) for power calculation and energy accumulation, and a custom service configuration is possible.

Power quality monitoring detects events and captures waveforms of up to 128 samples per cycle, with 2560 samples before and after the trigger. Harmonics up to the 31st order, current K factor, voltage crest factor and unbalance are logged. Three data loggers and one trend logger can be configured independently, and 20 alarm groups watching 40 parameters store 200 alarm records.

Features stated in the datasheet

  • Four dry-node digital inputs (2 ms SOE), eight photo-MOS digital outputs and two Form A relay outputs.
  • Dual Ethernet ports with RSTP support for daisy-chained networks, plus RS485 for Modbus RTU and BACnet MS/TP.
  • One WEB2 module can act as a gateway for up to 4 meters, giving 96 channel inputs behind a single IP address.
  • Four tariffs, 12 seasons, 14 schedules and a 10-year holiday calendar.

Ordering and communication modules

Order as Model – Current Input: AcuRev-4110-mA (80 mA and 100 mA CT input) or AcuRev-4110-mV (333 mV and 120 mV Rogowski coil). AcuRev-4110-mA-MC is the Measurement Canada approved version.

The optional communication module ACM-41-WEB2 provides WiFi and dual Ethernet; ACM-41-WEB2-D provides dual Ethernet without WiFi. Both support the protocols and cloud services printed in the datasheet.

Wiring and commissioning notes

The unit mounts on DIN rail or in a panel cut-out; the front is IP54 only when panel mounted, so the datasheet-rated environment is indoor with pollution degree 2. An LCD gives local readings and configuration.

Because mapping is software-defined, check channel assignment and direction on commissioning and compare per-circuit readings with a known load before billing.

Applications

Listed applications are power quality monitoring, BMS integration, DER monitoring, tenant billing, railway and subway systems, data centres and PDUs, and industrial and utility use. General engineering note: where a riser serves dozens of tenant circuits, a single 24-channel unit with a 128 MB log fits compact meter rooms.

Commissioning and enquiry notes

High-density branch circuit metering is used in the region in data centres, malls, office towers and residential buildings with many tenants. Map each current channel to the right circuit in software at commissioning and keep a record of the mapping, as wrong mapping is the most common source of billing errors. Check the panel’s internal temperature in summer, and confirm which approvals the local authority requires where readings are used for billing.
