Brand: Task Force Tips
Task Force Tips Radius Y35-D24A 1500 GPM Deck Monitor
Description
The Task Force Tips Radius Y35-D24A is a manually cranked extendable monitor that mounts above deck and raises its nozzle by nearly 24 in (600 mm) when deployed, with flows up to 1500 gpm (6000 L/min). It has a 3 in (75 mm) ANSI 150 / DN80 PN16 rigid flange inlet, a 2.5 in (65 mm) NH male rigid outlet, 360 degree continuous horizontal rotation and a vertical range from 45 degrees below to 90 degrees above horizontal.
The Radius is meant for apparatus where a conventional fixed monitor would hide behind the body: pull the knob, lift the outlet section and it locks in the deployed position, ready to flow, and it can flow in either the deployed or the stowed position. A stowed-position sensor (reed switch and magnet) with a dash light warns the driver if the monitor is left extended.

Selection and ordering guide
The code Y35-D24A is the standard-mounting Radius on a 3 in flange with a 2.5 in NH outlet. The manual lists a 4 in ANSI 150 flange option (9.0 in outside diameter, eight 5/8 in bolts) alongside the 3 in flange (7.5 in outside diameter, four 5/8 in bolts on a 6.0 in circle), and outlet options of 3.5 in NH, BSP or NPSH, 4 in BSP and 2.5 in NH, BSP or NPSH. The 4 in inlet raises the minimum flow area from 7.07 to 12.6 in2.
The manual operating envelope charts nozzle sizes A, B and C: 500, 1000 and 1500 gpm at 100 psi (K factors 50, 100 and 150), so a 1500 gpm nozzle on the 3 in inlet sits near the monitor pressure limit and needs checking against the graph.
Installation and operation notes
Use rigid mounting and bolt the flange in an alternating sequence in three passes to 76 to 80 ft-lb (100 to 110 N-m); the manual recommends flat flanges with a ring gasket and warns against plastic pipe. Mount the stow sensor to the inlet and the magnet to the exit elbow with the stainless band clamps, confirm the reed switch closes, and fit the dash light in a 1/2 in hole with its warning label. Only use the monitor fully raised or fully lowered; flowing in an intermediate position can damage it. Grease through the three grease fittings only if operation becomes stiff, using medium-viscosity chassis grease and not over-pumping.
Applications in GCC industry
The product page positions the Radius for deck-mounted firefighting on new and retrofit apparatus; the same above-deck layout is useful on skid frames and platforms where the nozzle must clear rails or walls. Its automatic drain helps empty the waterway after use, and the manual advises draining after every use because corrosion from standing water is a concern, which is relevant in coastal climates.
Compatible items
Use with TFT 2.5 in NH nozzles and stacked tips (the manual gives YST-4NN and MST-4NJ flow tables), automatic masterstream nozzles and foam equipment from the same group.
Installation and selection notes
The Radius deck monitor needs a flange on the deck or pipe-end matching the 3 in ANSI 150 inlet, and the mounting must carry the reaction force of the stream. Check the clearance to lift the outlet section, keep the lock mechanism clean and operate the crank at the intervals in the maintenance schedule.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any hoses, couplings or accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, flows, pressures and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
Frequently asked questions
How high does the Radius raise the nozzle?
The product page states nearly 24 in (600 mm) of nozzle elevation above the deck when deployed.
Can it flow while stowed?
Yes, the page says it can flow in both deployed and stowed positions, but the manual requires use only fully raised or fully lowered.
What does the stow sensor do?
A reed switch and magnet turn on a dash light when the monitor is extended, to prevent driving with it raised.
What are the inlet and outlet?
A 3 in ANSI 150 / DN80 PN16 rigid flange inlet and a 2.5 in NH male outlet on this code.
What should I confirm before ordering?
Confirm flange size, outlet thread, nozzle and vehicle clearance with the manual, then request a quotation quoting Y35-D24A.
