Selec MFM376-C-CE 3-Phase LED Multifunction Meter 40-300 V
Description
A wide-supply LED multifunction meter that survives DC or AC auxiliary power
The Selec MFM376-C-CE is a 96 x 96 mm panel meter with a three-row, 0.49 inch seven-segment LED display and two eight-digit energy rows. Its auxiliary supply accepts 40 to 300 V AC or DC, which suits panels fed from a DC battery bus or an unstable AC auxiliary line as well as normal mains.
It measures 3-phase true RMS voltage and current at 100 samples per cycle, power, import and export energy, maximum and minimum demand, run hour and phase angle, and reports voltage and current THD and individual harmonics up to the 31st order. A single pulse output and RS485 Modbus RTU connect it to a PLC or energy system.
Features printed on the datasheet
- Auxiliary supply 40 to 300 V AC/DC, with 100 ms typical ride-through
- Import/export energy, run hour, max/min demand power, phase angle detection
- Password protection for set-up, energy clearing and min/max data

One code on this datasheet
Only one orderable code, MFM376-C-CE, appears on the sheet; it already includes the universal AC/DC auxiliary input, the pulse output and the RS485 port. It differs from the MFM384 in its LED display, lower IP rating (IP51 versus IP54), lower weight and broader supply range, and it lacks the MFM384 bar graph and CT polarity detection.
Mounting with sliding clamps and configuring from three keys
The manual mounts the meter by pushing it through the cutout and sliding four clamps evenly toward the panel; demounting is done by pulling each clamp arm outward and dragging the clamp away. Three dedicated keys open the configuration menu (hold the two outer keys for 3 s).
- Land the conductors on lugs (copper, 0.5 to 2.5 mm2) and route signal cables clear of noisy equipment.
- Because no fuse is fitted internally, add the 275 V AC, 0.5 A external fuse the manual suggests.
- On a 3-phase 3-wire system only the first screen and the average power-factor screen are available.
Where a DC-capable LED meter helps
The 40 to 300 V DC capability makes the MFM376-C-CE a candidate for substations and generator panels where a 110 V DC bus is available alongside AC. The large LED digits stay readable in a dim plant room, and the 15 second demand and import/export registers help when metering a generator set that can also feed back to a utility. As with other Selec panel meters, install indoors with IP51 front protection only.
External parts you still need
Current transformers, any medium-voltage PTs and an RS485 gateway are bought separately. The pulse output can drive a PLC counter or a remote kWh totaliser; the manual shows the wiring and states that a self-excited PLC input needs no external supply. Compare with the MFM384 if you need a backlit LCD, IP54 front, or a bar graph.
