Brand:

JUMO diraTRON DR100 DIN-Rail Controller with USB Setup

Description

Compact DIN-rail controller for temperature and process loops

The JUMO diraTRON DR100 (type 702061) is a controller for DIN-rail mounting in a control cabinet. Its universal input takes RTD probes, thermocouples and standard signals, and a 64 x 96 pixel LCD shows the process value and set point. Setup is done through the front keys or through a USB interface with the manufacturer setup program.

Option slots allow a relay output with a digital input, an analog output and an RS485 interface, so the same housing can serve as a simple on/off or PID controller, as a limit monitor, or as a networked loop on a Modbus line. The data sheet gives an accuracy of 0.1 % for Pt100 and 0.4 % for thermocouples, and lists the supply as AC 110 to 240 V or DC 24 V.

How the order code is built

The code starts with 702061 followed by the version, then option 1, option 2, option 3 and the supply code. Option 1 code 2 gives a K2 relay and a digital input; option 2 offers analog output 3 or RS485 4; option 3 offers RS485 7. The supply code 23 stands for AC 110 to 240 V and 36 for DC 24 V.

Write the full code on your request so the quotation matches the cabinet wiring. The derived rule of thumb is to pick one of the two RS485 slots only, since both give the same interface.

Panel space matters in compact cabinets, and the rail housing keeps wiring on the front terminals. Keep sensor leads away from power cables, use shielded cable for thermocouple extension, and ground the shield at one end only so that noise does not disturb the control loop.

Typical uses

A DIN-rail controller fits panels where space is limited, such as oven and heater skids, small HVAC plants, water treatment dosing or laboratory equipment. A thermocouple or Pt100 can be connected directly, and the relay output can drive a contactor for heating.

Where plant data must reach a PLC or SCADA, order an RS485 option. Check the UL status, the supply voltage and the load of the relay contact against the plant specification before ordering.

For critical heating zones add an independent over-temperature limiter so that a failed sensor or welded relay cannot lead to overheating. Operators who maintain many similar panels benefit from saving the configuration through USB and reusing it on replacement units.

Documents and quotation

Quote requests are handled from this page: attach your tag list or the full code, and note the option codes, supply voltage and UL status. The attached PDF (JUMO diraTRON DR100 data sheet 702061 (EN)) is the reference for every value above, and it should be checked again for the final configuration. About brand

Temperature measurement is the origin of JUMO, founded in 1948 in Fulda, Germany, as a maker of glass thermometers. Today the catalog covers sensors and transmitters for temperature, pressure, level and liquid analysis, plus controllers and recorders. Seven Star LLC lists JUMO RTD probes, pressure and differential pressure transmitters, pH, conductivity, turbidity and dissolved oxygen instruments, and sources them for plants in Oman.

JUMO product families listed

JUMO uses family names that recur across the catalog:

  • dTRANS: transmitters, including dTRANS T01 and T100 for temperature, dTRANS p02 DELTA for differential pressure, and dTRANS pH 02 and CR 02 for liquid analysis
  • Wtrans: wireless probes and transmitters, such as Wtrans T for RTD temperature and Wtrans p for pressure
  • digiLine and ecoLine: digital and optical analysis sensors, for example the digiLine O-DO S10 dissolved oxygen sensor and the ecoLine NTU turbidity sensor
  • NESOS: float-based level transmitters and switches
  • RTD temperature probes: screw-in types such as 902030 and mineral-insulated designs

Where JUMO sensors are used

JUMO sensors and transmitters are typical of food and beverage lines, water and wastewater treatment, pharmaceutical utilities, heating and cooling systems, and packaged machinery supplied to the GCC by European builders. Many requests are for a like-for-like replacement of a probe fitted by the machine maker, where length, thread and connector have to match exactly.

Ordering JUMO parts: what we need

JUMO identifies each product group by a six-digit type number, such as 902030, followed by an order code that fixes the options. The label of the delivered item normally carries a part number as well. Send whichever you have, ideally both, or a photo of the label. For JUMO temperature probes add insertion length, diameter, process connection, sensor type and wiring. For JUMO pressure sensors state range, output, process connection and electrical connector. For analysis sensors name the transmitter they connect to and the cable length.
