JUMO AQUIS touch P Multichannel Analysis Controller and Recorder
Description
Panel-mounted liquid analysis hub with a touch screen
The JUMO AQUIS touch P (type 202580) is a panel-mounted, modular measuring device for liquid analysis with an integrated controller and a paperless recorder. It takes up to two analysis inputs in any combination of pH/redox/NH3, conductive conductivity or inductive conductivity, plus a temperature input, a universal 0(4) to 20 mA input and up to 21 further signals directly or by interface.
The 3.5 inch resistive TFT touch screen (320 x 240 pixels, 256 colours) can be operated with gloves and holds up to 15 loadable languages, including Chinese and Cyrillic characters. Up to 8 analog values and 6 binary signals are recorded in tamper-proof memory and can be read by USB stick or JUMO PCC software. The surface-mounted sibling, AQUIS touch S (type 202581), shares the same measuring platform.

Configuring the order code
The code 202580 is followed by version 8 (standard) or 9 (customer configuration), the language (01 German, 02 English, 03 French), analysis inputs 1 and 2 (1 pH/redox/NH3, 2 CR, 3 Ci), four input/output slots, the supply (23 for 110 to 240 V AC, 39 for 24 V AC/DC) and the COM 2 interface (08 Ethernet, 54 Modbus RTU, 63 PROFINET IO, 64 PROFIBUS-DP). The I/O slots accept universal inputs, changeover or normally open relays, a 230 V triac, logic outputs, analog outputs, PhotoMOS relays, a DC +/-5 V and 24 V supply output, and digital inputs.
Extra codes add the recording function (213), the math and logic module (214) and the JUMO digiLine protocol (962). The sheet gives an example code of the form 202580 / 8 – 01 – 1 – 2 – 10 – 10 – 13 – 13 – 23 – 64 / 213, 214. Delivery includes four fastening elements, a panel seal, a setup-software disc and the installation instructions.
Where it is used
JUMO names municipal and industrial water treatment, process systems, drinking and bathing water, pharmaceutical water, CIP/SIP plants in food and beverage, gas scrubbers, cooling towers, ion exchangers, reverse osmosis units, power stations, fish breeding and seawater desalination. Because several sensors share one display, one recorder and one set of relays, a single unit can replace separate pH, conductivity and chlorine instruments on a package skid.
The data sheet also lists configurable user rights, a calibration logbook, wash and calibration timers, a service-hours counter and switchable conductivity ranges for CIP/SIP duty.
Key features for water and process analysis
- Two analysis channels in one 96 x 96 mm panel instrument, freely combining pH, redox, NH3 and conductive or inductive conductivity.
- Integrated controller functions with up to 10 switching outputs, so dosing pumps and valves can be driven without a separate PLC for simple loops.
- Built-in paperless recorder with tamper-proof memory for documentation of water quality over time.
- Glove-friendly resistive touch screen and multilingual menus for operators of different backgrounds.
- Ethernet with webserver and e-mail alarm messaging, plus Modbus RTU, PROFIBUS-DP or PROFINET IO for plant integration.
- Pulse inputs for flow meters, allowing flow-proportional dosing or totalising alongside analysis.
Planning the measuring point
The instrument is only as good as the sensors and sample conditions feeding it. pH and redox electrodes need a steady, bubble-free flow past the glass membrane and regular calibration with buffer solutions; conductivity cells must be matched to the expected range by cell constant, and inductive cells are often preferred for dirty or high-conductivity media because they have no exposed electrodes. Temperature compensation is essential for both pH and conductivity, which is why the dedicated temperature inputs matter.
Panel layout
Allow for the mounting depth stated in the specifications, particularly when an inductive conductivity sensor is connected and the cable space increases the depth. Separate sensor signal cables from power and relay wiring inside the panel to reduce interference on low-level pH signals, and keep the front gasket intact to maintain the IP66 front rating.
Typical applications
- Drinking water treatment and distribution, monitoring pH and conductivity at the outlet.
- Desalination plant post-treatment, where remineralisation and pH correction are controlled.
- Cooling tower blowdown control based on conductivity.
- Industrial wastewater neutralisation with pH-controlled acid and caustic dosing.
- Swimming pool and leisure water treatment using redox and pH.
- Boiler feedwater and condensate monitoring.
Relevance to Oman and the GCC
The region relies heavily on desalinated water, and municipal, industrial and hospitality operators need continuous evidence of water quality. A recorder that stores data securely and exports it by USB or software supports the reporting expected by utilities and auditors. The stated ambient range is -5 to +50 °C for indoor use, so outdoor installations should be housed in shaded, ventilated or air-conditioned enclosures, which is normal practice for instrumentation panels in Gulf summers.
Maintenance points
- Calibrate pH electrodes at intervals suited to the medium and record results; the device stores calibration logbooks.
- Clean conductivity cells to remove scale or biofilm, especially in cooling water.
- Back up the configuration with the PC setup program before changes.
- Export recorded data regularly to avoid relying on device memory alone.
RFQ checklist
- Complete order code, or a description of required analysis inputs, I/O slots, supply and COM 2 interface.
- Sensors, fittings and cables if the measuring point is to be supplied complete.
- Language and any software such as PC setup or PCC evaluation.
- Application details: medium, measuring ranges, temperature and required control functions.
- Delivery location and approval needs, for example DNV marine use.

About brand
Temperature measurement is the origin of JUMO, founded in 1948 in Fulda, Germany, as a maker of glass thermometers. Today the catalog covers sensors and transmitters for temperature, pressure, level and liquid analysis, plus controllers and recorders. Seven Star LLC lists JUMO RTD probes, pressure and differential pressure transmitters, pH, conductivity, turbidity and dissolved oxygen instruments, and sources them for plants in Oman.
JUMO product families listed
JUMO uses family names that recur across the catalog:
- dTRANS: transmitters, including dTRANS T01 and T100 for temperature, dTRANS p02 DELTA for differential pressure, and dTRANS pH 02 and CR 02 for liquid analysis
- Wtrans: wireless probes and transmitters, such as Wtrans T for RTD temperature and Wtrans p for pressure
- digiLine and ecoLine: digital and optical analysis sensors, for example the digiLine O-DO S10 dissolved oxygen sensor and the ecoLine NTU turbidity sensor
- NESOS: float-based level transmitters and switches
- RTD temperature probes: screw-in types such as 902030 and mineral-insulated designs
Where JUMO sensors are used
JUMO sensors and transmitters are typical of food and beverage lines, water and wastewater treatment, pharmaceutical utilities, heating and cooling systems, and packaged machinery supplied to the GCC by European builders. Many requests are for a like-for-like replacement of a probe fitted by the machine maker, where length, thread and connector have to match exactly.
Ordering JUMO parts: what we need
JUMO identifies each product group by a six-digit type number, such as 902030, followed by an order code that fixes the options. The label of the delivered item normally carries a part number as well. Send whichever you have, ideally both, or a photo of the label. For JUMO temperature probes add insertion length, diameter, process connection, sensor type and wiring. For JUMO pressure sensors state range, output, process connection and electrical connector. For analysis sensors name the transmitter they connect to and the cable length.
