Brand:

Apollo 55100-940 XP95 I.S. Manual Call Point

Description

An intrinsically safe manual call point for explosive atmospheres

The Apollo 55100-940 is the XP95 Intrinsically Safe (I.S.) manual call point, used to initiate an alarm signal on a fire detection system by hand. Apollo states it is suitable for areas where explosive atmospheres are, or may be, present, and for Zones 2, 1 and 0. It is suitable for weatherproof applications with an IP67 rating.

The call point is EN 54-11 certified, reports an alarm in under 0.2 seconds, and is XP95 and Discovery compatible; the datasheet lists CoreProtocol as a compatible protocol and notes that features are panel dependent. It uses a KAC manual call point test and reset key.

Installation notes

Apollo directs installers to the Installation Guide document 39215-511 on its website, and states that installation must conform to applicable local codes. The call point sits on an intrinsically safe loop, so a suitable barrier, I.S. interface and certified enclosure arrangement are needed.

The datasheet lists polarity sensitivity on the L1 and L2 terminals and a protocol voltage window, which the loop interface must respect. Conformity with the EMC Directive does not confer compliance on connected apparatus.

What to confirm before ordering

Confirm the hazardous-area zone, gas group and temperature class against the printed classification, the barrier and panel compatibility, and the number of devices allowed on the I.S. loop. Check for any needed accessories such as the test and reset key supply, labelling and cable entries.

The datasheet is Issue 1 from 2026; ask the manufacturer for the current certificate and Declaration of Performance for the exact build before purchase.

About brand

Apollo devices are used to build addressable fire alarm loops. Apollo, founded in 1980 and based in Havant, United Kingdom, makes fire detectors and the loop devices that work with them. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists Apollo fire detection devices for fire alarm contractors and maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC, currently the XP95 Sounder Control Unit.

Apollo XP95 loop devices

XP95 is the Apollo range of analogue addressable detectors and interfaces. Besides detectors, it includes modules that link the loop to other equipment. The Sounder Control Unit on our site is one of these: it lets the control panel switch and supervise a circuit of conventional sounders fed from an external power supply.

Ordering Apollo devices: what we need

Apollo identifies each device by a part number in the form 55000-000, for example 55000-182 for a DIN-rail sounder control unit. Send that number, the range name printed on the device, the quantity, and the make and model of your control panel. For detectors, state whether mounting bases are needed and which type.
