Brand:

Cortem SLED-MN Ex nR LED Floodlights, 104 to 485 W

Description

High-output LED floodlights for Zone 2 and Zone 21 up to 485 W

The Cortem SLED-MN series are LED floodlights using Ex nR and Ex tb protection for ATEX Zone 2, where equipment must stay safe in the presence of gas, vapour and mist mixtures, and Zone 21 and 22, where dust and combustible particles are the hazard. The LEDs give a diffused 120 degree beam and a high lumen output of up to 64751 lm. The finned aluminium body acts as a heat sink and lets air and water pass, which reduces dust deposits. An Ex e terminal housing on the body allows fast connection.

Six models in two body sizes (SLED-400 and SLED-600) cover 104 W to 485 W, making the series a practical way to replace high-wattage discharge floodlights at jetties, loading areas, plant perimeters and offshore decks. The sibling SLED-ME, for Zone 1, is also listed on this site.

Mounting, options and what to confirm

The bracket allows adjustable fixing from 0 to 90 degrees with set positions at 0, 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees. Options are a different colour temperature (code SLED-MN-250120/2700K), an extra NAV25SIB cable gland for unarmoured cable, different cable gland drilling, dimming by 0-10 V or PWM, and FastEx connectors. Cortem provides LDT and IES files for lighting design.

Confirm the zone, ambient temperature against the temperature class table, supply voltage, mounting angle and cable gland type. Where Zone 1 gas applies instead of Zone 2, use a Zone 1 floodlight such as Cortem SLED-ME.

About brand

Cortem is an Italian manufacturer of electrical equipment for environments with a risk of explosion and fire. Cortem S.p.A., the main company of Cortem Group, was founded in 1968 in Villesse, Italy, and the group today supplies industrial plants, offshore platforms, refineries and shipyards with certified products for hazardous areas.

Explosion-protected product range

The catalogue covers junction boxes in aluminium, stainless steel and GRP, control and command stations, metal cable glands and connectors, plugs and sockets, LED floodlights, linear and high-bay luminaires, hand lamps, signalling and obstruction lights, and weatherproof series equipment. Products are certified to ATEX and IECEx, with UKEX and other schemes available according to the model.

Applications and documentation

Typical sectors named by the company include oil and gas, chemical and pharmaceutical plants, mining, shipbuilding and traditional and green energy. Each product family has a datasheet with the marking, zones, temperature classes and certificate numbers, so the equipment can be matched to a hazardous area classification before ordering.

Sourcing through Seven Star LLC

Seven Star LLC supplies Cortem products to customers in Oman and the GCC and quotes against the model code, zone and certificate requirement.
