pFlow C6H Ultrasonic Flow Sensor
Description
Overview: Next-Generation Fluid Telemetry with pFlow C6H
As the official authorized representative of pFlow in Oman, Seven Star LLC is proud to introduce the pFlow C6H Ultrasonic Flow Sensor, a breakthrough in high-precision, non-invasive fluid measurement and process control. Industrial fluid dynamics in Oman and the wider GCC region demand extreme reliability, low maintenance, and seamless automation compatibility. The pFlow C6H addresses these critical requirements by combining advanced transit-time digital signal processing with optional integrated control logic, such as smart motorized ball valve integration. Unlike traditional mechanical flowmeters that suffer from mechanical wear, pressure drops, and frequent calibration drifts, our static ultrasonic sensor ensures long-term operational accuracy. It is specifically designed to fit seamlessly into high-tech building automation systems, chilled water loops, and heavy industrial processing lines where continuous fluid telemetry is paramount.
Transit-Time Ultrasonic Measurement Principle
The core operational logic of the pFlow C6H relies on the highly accurate transit-time ultrasonic measurement principle. Our sensor architecture incorporates pairs of ultrasonic transducers positioned upstream and downstream within the flow profile. These transducers alternately transmit and receive high-frequency acoustic waves through the moving liquid. When the fluid is flowing, the transit time of the acoustic signal moving in the direction of the flow is shorter than the transit time of the signal moving against the flow. The internal microprocessing core of our device measures this time differential with nanosecond precision. By applying advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms and factoring in the specific cross-sectional geometry of the pipe, the sensor instantaneously calculates the exact volumetric flow rate. This measurement method is completely independent of fluid conductivity, pressure, and viscosity, ensuring exceptional linearity across a wide dynamic flow range.
Engineering Design and Smart Control Integration
The engineering design of the pFlow C6H emphasizes compact efficiency, chemical resilience, and robust automation connectivity. Housed in a high-grade, IP65 or IP68-rated weather-resistant enclosure, our sensor is constructed to withstand the intense ambient heat, fine dust ingress, and corrosive humidity typical of Middle Eastern industrial mechanical rooms. The internal flow channel is engineered to minimize turbulence and maintain a zero-pressure-drop profile, optimizing overall pumping efficiency across the fluid network. Furthermore, the electronic motherboard integrates multi-protocol digital communication options, including Modbus RTU (RS485), BACnet, and standard 4-20mA analog outputs. This versatile interface allows the sensor to communicate directly with central PLCs, SCADA networks, or building management systems (BMS). Our modular layout also supports a unique mechanical coupling with smart motorized ball valves, allowing for automated, closed-loop flow regulation based on real-time acoustic feedback.

Key Features and Technological Advantages

The pFlow C6H delivers a comprehensive suite of technical advantages tailored strictly for the B2B industrial and automation market. A primary advantage is its non-moving-part design, which eliminates mechanical friction, eradicates particle clogging v
ulnerabilities, and lowers the total cost of ownership to near zero. The sensor features an exceptionally low starting flow velocity detection capability, allowing it to capture micro-flows that traditional meters miss. It also provides built-in thermal energy calculations when paired with external temperature sensors, making it an all-in-one BTU meter for district cooling applications. Our high-contrast digital display provides field engineers with instant visibility into instantaneous flow, totalized volume, and signal strength diagnostics. Additionally, the unit supports unregulated wide-range DC power inputs, facilitating flexible installation in various control panel configurations.

About brand
Clamp-on ultrasonic flow measurement is what pFlow does. The sensors strap to the outside of the pipe and measure liquid flow by transit time, so the line is not cut and nothing touches the fluid. The brand comes from Gentos, an instrument maker focused on ultrasonic flowmeters, flow sensors and heat and cooling energy meters.
Seven Star LLC is the pFlow agency for Oman and the GCC, listing pFlow ultrasonic flowmeters in fixed, portable and LoRaWAN versions, BTU meters and LoRaWAN flow control valves.
pFlow flowmeter families
Most of the listed models are compact clamp-on sensors grouped by pipe size and duty. The GF family (GFCL, GFR, GF-S-CL, GF-SH-CL for hot water and GF-GH-CL for immersion cooling) and the MF micro flowmeters (MFR, MFCL) serve cooling and process loops on small and medium pipes. The MP series are plug-and-play flow sensors, including the MP801 and a LoRaWAN version. The D116-BTU is a wall-mounted ultrasonic BTU meter, the P116 a portable flowmeter for surveys, and the F8 a fixed meter used in aquaculture. Gentos also builds the F3 series clip-on flowmeters, including a panel-mount version. The VC200-R is a LoRaWAN ball valve that works as a flow switch.
Where pFlow meters are used
The manufacturer documents use in liquid cooling for data centers and semiconductor plants, chilled and hot water metering in central air conditioning, water supply networks and irrigation, aquaculture, and utility lines in petrochemical and power plants.
Ordering a pFlow ultrasonic flowmeter: what we need
Clamp-on meters are selected from pipe data. Send the pipe outside diameter, wall thickness and material, any liner, the liquid and its temperature, the expected flow span and the straight pipe length available. Add the output you need (4-20 mA, pulse, Modbus, LoRaWAN) and the supply voltage. For BTU meters include the supply and return temperature span.

Frequently Asked Questions
The pFlow C6H utilizes a non-moving-part design and static ultrasonic transit-time sensors. Because there are no mechanical gears or turbines to wear out or clog, the meter completely avoids mechanical calibration drift and maintains high operational accuracy over an extended lifespan.
Yes, when integrated with external temperature sensors on the supply and return lines, the internal microprocessing core can calculate thermal energy differential parameters, making it highly suitable for district cooling energy billing.
Absolutely. The internal electronics support Modbus RTU over RS485 and BACnet protocols natively, allowing for direct plug-and-play communication with standard industrial PLCs and modern building automation architectures.
Our sensor features an industrial-grade enclosure rated for robust thermal tolerance and a high ingress protection rating (IP65/IP68), shielding the sensitive signal processing circuitry from external heat and dust.
The sensor is explicitly engineered for clean, homogenous liquids such as chilled water, cooling tower circulation water, and clear process fluids that do not contain high concentrations of large bubbles or heavy solids.
