Description

Compact Ex low-bay LED luminaires for tight spaces, tanks and low-voltage supplies

The Cortem EVML series are low-bay LED luminaires for Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22, designed to replace incandescent equivalents at lower running cost. Cortem recommends them where obstruction must be limited, such as tunnels, passages, corridors, stairways and control cabins (code EVML-ME-060), and for lighting and monitoring hazardous material inside tanks and vessels through a porthole flange (codes EVML-ME-050…-O). A side-entry version (EVML-ME-060…L) reduces overall dimensions.

The finned body is a heat sink for the LED plate, the universal 316L stainless steel bracket sets the direction of light, and the flat tempered glass resists impact and high temperature. Marking is Ex eb mb IIC for gas and Ex tb IIIC for dust at IP66, with a wide choice of supplies from 12 V to 230 V.

Tank inspection and obstruction versions, and what to confirm

For vessels, EVML-ME-050015-…-O10, -O12, -O15 and -O20 couple to round windows to DIN 28120 with nominal sizes 100, 125, 150 and 200 mm. Obstruction and signalling versions EVML-ME-050015-…-G carry a globe in amber (GG), red (GR), green (GV), blue (GB) or clear (GI) and can replace acoustic signals where those are not suitable. Voltage suffixes are none for 230 Vac, 110, 12, 24D, 24A, 48D and 48A. Accessories include a U-bolt for pole mounting and other colour temperatures.

Before ordering confirm the zone, the supply voltage, rear or side entry, the ambient temperature against the class table, the porthole size for tank use, and the mounting method.
