Klinger KLINGERSIL C-4300 Aramid Fibre NBR Gasket Sheet

Description

Aramid-NBR sheet for hot water, steam and oil joints

KLINGERSIL C-4300 is an olive-green aramid-fibre and NBR sheet that Klinger sells as a universal high-pressure gasket giving more safety across a wide range of applications. The datasheet names resistance to hot water, steam, oils, hydrocarbons and other chemicals.

The product page lists three features: a general-purpose gasket material, dimensional stability and consistent material composition. Benefits stated are an excellent price and performance ratio and suitability for many different media. Compared with the other sheets in the range it has the highest compressibility, 14 %, so it conforms well to flanges that are not perfectly flat.

Fitting C-4300 to the duty

Use C-4300 where hot water or steam is mixed with oil or hydrocarbon service and the temperature stays moderate. Its stress relaxation figures are 32 MPa at 175 °C and 20 MPa at 300 °C, with a 22 % thickness loss at 300 °C under 50 MPa; for hotter or longer steam duty C-4430 or C-4500 retain more load.

The m factor of 3.0 and y factor of 15 MPa are the ASME values for a 2.0 mm gasket at tightness class 0.1 mg/(s x m). The approvals printed are DIN-DVGW, DIN 16421 (W 270), the Elastomer-Guideline, DNV and SVGW; there is no oxygen test or fire-safe entry on this datasheet, so specify another grade if the project requires them.

Documents, ordering details and quotation

Mention the steam or hot-water temperature so that stress retention can be checked against the data above. To quote correctly we need the medium and concentration, working and test pressure, temperature, flange standard and facing, bolting, thickness and whether you want a whole sheet or gaskets cut to size. Klinger states that its values are typical and that site conditions vary, so confirm the grade with your own engineering or with Klinger before ordering for a critical duty. About brand

Klinger is an Austrian manufacturer of gaskets and industrial sealing materials, with a company history that goes back to 1886 and a head office in Gumpoldskirchen. Seven Star LLC supplies Klinger gasket sheets to plant, maintenance and fabrication teams in Oman and the GCC on inquiry.

Fibre, graphite and PTFE gasket sheets

The Klinger sheets listed here include the aramid fibre KLINGERSIL grades, graphite based top-graph material and the PTFE sheets of the top-chem family. Each official datasheet gives the thickness range, pressure and temperature limits, gasket factors, chemical resistance and the approvals printed by the manufacturer.

Seven Star LLC links the manufacturer document on every product page, so buyers can verify the figures and approvals themselves before they send an inquiry.

Choosing the right sheet

The correct grade depends on the medium, temperature, pressure, flange design and bolt load. Send these details with your request for quotation and we compare them with the published Klinger data before we quote, so the sheet and thickness suit the joint. Sheets can be quoted as whole sheets or as gaskets cut to size.
