The Spelsberg WKE Rapid-Box HT 1×3 16 mm2 1F is an orange, halogen-free junction box made of thermosetting plastic, with ceramic high-temperature terminals and stainless steel fixing lugs and cover screws. Selection and installation

This is a specialist box for circuits that must keep running during a fire, such as emergency lighting, ventilation and fire-fighting supplies along a tunnel or escape route. The cable, its fixing and the box all contribute to the circuit-integrity rating, so confirm the cable type and the fixing method with the system designer and the Spelsberg documentation. Construction details

The enclosure is made of special thermosetting plastic (Duroplast), is halogen-free and rated UL94 V0, while the terminals are made of special high-temperature-resistant ceramic. The box is fixed with external fixing lugs made of stainless steel 1.4571, the same grade as the cover screws, which are tightened to 6 Nm. The data sheet describes the box as pressure and suction tight in accordance with the Gotthard guideline, with an impact strength of IK09.

Each box is supplied with two M25 cable glands (sealing range 9 to 16 mm) and four M25 locking screws, and has five M25 entries on the side. The main cable sealing range is 17 to 22 mm. The branch is protected by one pre-wired unipolar B16 circuit breaker, and the feed-through terminal is rated 63 A. The rated operating and insulation voltage is 400 V AC, and the sheet lists no accessories for this item.
