The KITZ DJ-Series butterfly valve

The DJ Series is the ductile iron butterfly valve line of KITZ, built in wafer and lug bodies with an NBR or EPDM rubber seat that lines the body. The seat material is the main selection point: it must suit the fluid and the temperature, and the manufacturer gives -20 to +120 °C for the EPDM seat. Disc material (coated ductile iron, aluminum bronze or 316 stainless steel) and operator are the other choices. We confirm each of them from the manufacturer’s DJ-Series datasheet before quoting.

Ordering KITZ valves: what we need

Send the figure number from the nameplate or from your specification, the size, the pressure class or flange standard the valve sits between, the seat and disc materials, the fluid with its pressure and temperature, and the operator: lever, gear or actuator. For actuated valves, add the air supply or voltage.

Facts checked against KITZ investor reports, October 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I identify a KITZ valve?
KITZ valves carry a figure number on the nameplate or cast and stamped on the body, along with size and pressure rating. The figure number encodes the valve type, body material and trim. Send a photo of the nameplate and the body markings, and we look up the figure in the manufacturer's catalog.
Which seat material should I choose for a DJ-Series butterfly valve?
That depends on the fluid and temperature. The DJ Series catalog offers NBR and EPDM seats, and KITZ gives -20 to +120 °C for EPDM. The two rubbers differ in their resistance to hot water, oils and chemicals. Tell us the fluid, its concentration if it is a chemical, and the working temperature, and we check the choice against the manufacturer's datasheet.
What do you need to quote a KITZ butterfly valve?
Size, flange standard, seat and disc material, fluid, pressure, temperature, operator type and quantity. If the valve replaces an existing one, the figure number and a nameplate photo are enough to begin. Say which test or material certificates your project requires so they are requested from the manufacturer with the order.
What is a KITZ DJ butterfly valve?
The DJ series are KITZ resilient-seated butterfly valves with a rubber seat lining the body. They are used for water, air and HVAC service at moderate pressures.
Is Seven Star LLC a distributor of KITZ?
No. Seven Star LLC is an independent industrial supplier based in Muscat. We source KITZ valves through commercial channels, check the model or order code against the manufacturer's documentation before ordering, and provide the manufacturer's datasheet and the certificates the manufacturer issues with the order, on request.
