Brand:

Gent NANO-24 Nano Single Loop Addressable Fire Alarm Panel (Legacy)

Description

Single loop addressable panel for small systems (legacy model)

The Gent Nano is a single loop analogue addressable fire alarm control panel with an intuitive user interface and a compact, attractive appearance. The order code NANO-24 is a 1 loop panel complete with batteries for 24 hours of standby. Honeywell’s UK product page for the Nano control panel carries a Discontinued notice, so it is listed here as a legacy panel for sites that already run it and need documentation, spares planning or like-for-like replacement.

Nano operates the latest range of Vigilon loop devices from Honeywell Gent, which lets a small system use advanced detection technology and loop-powered performance with ranges such as the Gent S-Quad multi-sensor and Gent S-Cubed sounder and visual alarm, including the EN54-23 visual alarm devices. All devices connect to the same two-core loop, so separate sounder wiring circuits are not required.

Commissioning and cause and effect

The Nano commissioning tool lets a technician configure cause and effect offline or online. A fire plan can be set up remotely or on site through a USB connection, and devices can be added and system changes managed from the panel interface or the commissioning tool. The input and output signals can be used to control fire dampers and plant equipment, with change-over relay contacts for fire and fault signalling.

Replacement and ordering notes

Because the Nano is a one-loop panel, larger or networked sites normally move to the Gent Vigilon Compact Plus panel or the Gent VIGPLUS-72 Vigilon Plus control panel. State the order code, loop device count and firmware version printed on the panel when you ask for spares or a replacement; the datasheet does not publish a discontinuation date and Honeywell’s page leaves the support end date blank, so confirm status at quotation. Related products are in the logic controller category.

About brand

Vigilon is the analog addressable fire alarm system that has made Gent a familiar name on British-specified buildings. The company's roots go back to 1872 in Leicester, and its panels and loop devices are designed to EN 54. Seven Star LLC supplies Gent fire alarm panels and system parts to contractors and facility teams in Oman, including Vigilon control panels and loop cards for existing sites.

Gent Vigilon panels and parts listed here

Three of the items on this page are panel parts. The Vigilon Compact Plus is the smaller panel for one or two loops. The Vigilon Plus, listed as VIGPLUS-72, is the larger control panel for one to six loops with 72-hour standby capacity. The VIG-LPC-EN loop card adds or replaces a loop circuit in the VIGPLUS-24 and VIGPLUS-72 panels. On the loops, Gent uses its own device families, notably S-Quad devices that combine multi-sensor detection with sounder, voice and visual alarm options.

Ordering Gent fire alarm parts: what we need

Gent systems are configured per site, so details matter. Send the part number from the panel or card label, the panel type and number of loops, the panel firmware version if shown, and the device types on the loop. For a new panel, state loops required, network cards, printer or repeater options and battery size. We supply to projects in the GCC and check each part number against the manufacturer's documentation.
