A DN100 gasketed plate heat exchanger for process and utility duties
The Alfa Laval M10 is a gasketed plate-and-frame heat exchanger of the Alfa Laval Industrial line, offered with a large selection of plate and gasket types. It is used for heating, cooling and heat recovery in industries listed in the leaflet such as energy and utilities, HVAC and refrigeration, chemicals, machinery, marine, steel and water treatment. Besides standard single plates it is available with double-wall plates, an extra precaution against intermixing of fluids, and the plate pack can be extended or reduced as the duty changes.

Features that help with service
Depending on configuration, the M10 has a corner-guided alignment system, chocolate-pattern distribution area, glued or clip-on gaskets, a leak chamber, fixed bolt heads, key-hole bolt openings, lifting lugs, lining, lock washers and tightening bolt covers. Extended pressure and temperature ratings may be available on request; not every combination is configurable and the global range may differ by region.
What to confirm before ordering
Provide both fluids, flows, temperatures, allowable pressure drops, design pressure and temperature, and the plate and gasket material (the choice depends on the fluids, for example chlorides). Ordering Alfa Laval pumps and heat exchanger parts: what we need
For a pump, send the type, impeller diameter, seal type and elastomer, motor data and the serial number. For a plate heat exchanger, the serial number on the frame plate is the key, as it identifies plate material, gasket material and the number of plates. For a new unit, give both fluids, flows, inlet and outlet temperatures and the allowed pressure drop.
