SCOUT100-EX Portable Vibration Analyzer
Overview
The SCOUT100-EX is Bently Nevada’s rugged, portable dual-channel vibration data collector, analyzer, and balancer, engineered for use in hazardous industrial environments. Use the SCOUT100-EX for on-route data collection, machine-side analysis and diagnosis, and on-site dynamic balance correction across a wide range of rotating equipment.
With engineering support in Muscat, Seven Star LLC offers the SCOUT100-EX to refineries, petrochemical plants, and power generation facilities across the Sultanate of Oman, Muscat, and the wider GCC. The SCOUT100-EX is ATEX Zone 2 and IECEx Zone 2 compliant and safe for use in hazardous areas, integrating seamlessly with Bently Nevada’s System 1 and Ascent Level 2 software for a complete condition monitoring workflow.
Measurement Principle
The SCOUT100-EX accepts up to two simultaneous vibration inputs from accelerometer, velocity, displacement, or current sensors, with both AC and DC coupling modes and a 24-bit analog-to-digital converter for high-fidelity measurement. Sensor excitation is configurable at 0 mA or 2.2 mA at 24V, supporting IEPE/ICP®-type accelerometers, with a dynamic range of ≥95 dB and a maximum input range of ±8V (AC) or ±20V (DC).
Frequency analysis reaches up to 40 kHz Fmax in single-channel mode (20 kHz dual-channel) with FFT resolution up to 6,400 lines, and the device supports order tracking up to 6 kHz with tachometer input. The unique 6Pack recording system captures low- and high-frequency demodulated waveforms simultaneously, while long-time waveform recording extends up to 1.6 hours of continuous data capture—essential for coast-down analysis and transient event capture during startup, shutdown, or an unusual operating excursion.
Engineering Design of the SCOUT100-EX
The SCOUT100-EX measures 252 x 148 x 60mm and weighs just 1.2kg including battery and neck strap, with an integrated Sensor Keeper that restrains the sensor while climbing or walking between machines. The device is built to MIL-STD-810F drop-test standards (1.2m onto concrete) and carries IP65 ingress protection, with an operating temperature range of -10°C to +50°C.
A sunlight-readable 5.5″ grayscale LCD (480×320 resolution) provides clear readability from blazing sunlight to complete darkness, while the 7.4V, 5000mAh Li-ion battery delivers 10 hours of continuous runtime with a 3-hour full charge cycle. Balancing capability covers up to 2 planes with a speed range of 30 to 60,000 RPM and ±0.1% accuracy, using laser, TTL pulse, or Keyphasor® tachometer inputs, and dual 1GB mirrored internal flash memory protects collected data against loss.

Industrial Applications
The SCOUT100-EX is well suited to refineries, chemical plants, and power generation facilities across Oman requiring portable, route-based vibration data collection and on-site balancing in classified hazardous areas. Its lightweight, ergonomic design supports true left- and right-handed operation for walk-around data collection across large industrial sites, while its 6Pack recordings and long-time waveform capture provide the deep diagnostic detail needed for bearing, gear, and rotor fault detection.
Backed by genuine manufacturer documentation, Seven Star LLC supports maintenance and reliability teams throughout the Sohar and Salalah economic zones and the broader GCC region with the SCOUT100-EX’s proven portable vibration analysis platform.

Why Choose Seven Star LLC for Portable Vibration Analysis Equipment
A hazardous-area-rated portable analyzer like the SCOUT100-EX is only as useful as the accessory kit and software license that come with it – sensor cables, magnetic mounts, and the correct System 1 or Ascent software tier all need to be specified together, or a maintenance technician ends up with a data collector that can’t actually complete a route. Seven Star LLC’s engineers confirm the intended route size, sensor types already in use on site, and software integration requirements before quoting, so the SCOUT100-EX arrives ready to work alongside a plant’s existing condition-monitoring program rather than as a standalone device. We also help plan calibration and battery-replacement schedules, and support reliability teams across Oman’s refining and power generation sector with training and first-use walkthroughs so the balancing and route-collection features are used correctly from day one.

Steam and gas turbines, generators, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, large pumps, hydro units and cooling tower fans in oil and gas, power generation, petrochemical and mining plants are the usual machines. Measurements include radial vibration, thrust position, speed, phase, differential expansion, bearing temperature, rod position and cylinder pressure.Ordering Bently Nevada parts: what we need
Send the complete part number with every option field, for example 330103-00-05-10-01-00 for a probe or the 3500 module number with its option dashes, plus the matching I/O module number. For probe systems state probe series, system length and the hazardous area approval. A photo of the label avoids transcription errors, and for rack modules the firmware revision is useful.Browse Bently Nevada products by category: Vibration.
