Overview
The Hach IntelliCAL LBOD101 is a digital, luminescent dissolved oxygen probe engineered specifically for biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) testing in laboratory environments. Engineering & Design
The LBOD101 is a luminescent optical sensor that measures dissolved oxygen based on an optical sensing element, eliminating the consumables and drift of Clark-cell probes. It integrates a thermistor for temperature measurement and an absolute air pressure sensor so that every DO reading is automatically compensated.
The probe fits directly onto standard BOD bottles and incorporates an integrated stirrer that agitates the sample during measurement, ensuring repeatable mixing without additional magnetic stirrers. The stirrer is controlled by an on-board button with a power indicator LED.
