Operating Principle

The Samson 3730-3 continuously compares the reference control signal (4–20 mA) with the actual valve position measured via an internal or external travel sensor. Any deviation is processed by an internal control algorithm, adjusting the pneumatic output pressure through an integrated I/P converter and air capacity booster until the desired valve position is reached.

The device ensures stable control behavior even under fluctuating supply pressure or environmental conditions, making it ideal for critical control loops.
